Well, Tim, I just went back and had another look at the relevant few minutes of the Google hangout (http://goo.gl/UP2Z1 at around 1:05) and what I see is Bert explaining how he works around the potential for conflicts in the ADL 1.4 archetype IDs (which sound similar to the workarounds that Ian just mentioned), and Dr. Kalra replying that workarounds like that aren't going to work globally. None of that is controversial. The problem was acknowledged years ago. Then on the other hand you were quoting from the ADL 1.5 specs, which introduce the concept of namespaces to the archetype IDs, in order to solve the problem that Bert was describing. So I don't really see why you say that Dr. Kalra was responding to the ADL 1.5 namespace specs. They aren't mentioned at all in that Google hangout video, as far as I can see. Peter
