I think their key point is that people like the path of least resistance. That means they want the defaults to match what people most commonly want to do and that is most usually systemd. Most people I've talked to fully agree we need sysvinit around. Certainly, I'm very clear that the sysvinit support isn't going anywhere. Cheers, Richard
