This is of a minor importance as the users can delete these accounts at the inception of the system These accounts are not "dummy" , which would mean that they are usable but not shown in the accounting records or reports. the standard chart of account included within the system contains other accounts that must be deleted by the majority of users because they are usefull only for very large corporations. not for smaller ones.
Plenty of information resources exist over the internet that explain the french "Plan comptable" and accounting principles. See http://www.plancomptable.com/titre-IV/liste_des_comptes_sa.htm There you will understand how to configure the chart of accounts that fits your needs whilst following the mandatory rules. For instance the "SYSTEME ABREGE" shows the list of accounts for small companies, although the "SYSTEME DEVELOPPE" is the standard for large ones. In the officiel accounting rules ("Plan comptable général"), they are only indicated to serve as examples of how accountants should divide the main accounts into product-specific children accounts. Therefore we must not create them as part of setting up a new OpenERP instance. Instead, the first thing the accountant has to do is to create them himself.
