CreateDLL is not compatible with the latest VS abi's. ctl needs to have an 
export macro scheme added to it, same as OpenEXR has. 

(In case anyone is wondering, I don't have a windows machine at the moment 
which is why I'm always exhorting others to do this and that on windows)
