Hi there,

No - OpenEXR won't magically extend the range of a single photo :)
You'd still have to
- assemble multiple exposures
- shoot in RAW (or shoot analog) and settle for as much range as that'll get you
- get a very expensive special hdr-capable camera

Hi,

This is a quote on the OpenEXR page :

"You can reveal more detail in OpenEXR images by changing the exposure using
the Exposure slider."

My question is if I take one photo and then adjust the exposure within the
OpenEXR viewer can I create "real" HDRI images without taking multiple
photos? Or will this not capture the full dynamic range like taking a
traditional HDRI.

Thanks,
