i get a login prompt, but cant use the keypad - keypress returns junk -
cause i presume keymaps or some such is not loaded or the modules arent
loaded. so ho do i login?

thanks I will be obliged. I havent installed a toolchain as yet. will do
so on monday. I use debain sarge. any recomendations / hints?
