Hi I am currently testing open filer 2.0 beta 1 and I am having some great success with it! Very very impressed :)
Thanks for your kind comments. Mind if we quote you on them :)?

I have got it to integrate to my Windows 2003 Active Directory and setup and an iSCSI target that a Windows XP initiator is able to connect to! I have some minor issues though:- On one test installation I was unable to delete an ISCSI volume group from the web interface but was able to remove via it via lvm in shell. Subsequent tests of this problem have all worked from web Interface so could have been my fault?
Was it the container volume group that could not be deleted or the actual logical volume exported as iSCSI? Please see whether you're able to replicate the problem....

I am having problems getting snapshots to work from either ext3 or ISCSI volumes. When I click on Create Snapshot the page reloads and no snapshot is created. Similarly editing properties of a volume then clicking volume snapshot's tab takes me back to List of existing volumes. There is free space on the volume, and 0MB has been allocated to snapshots.

Have you run "yum update" as root after the installation? You need to do this in order to get the latest package set. Then a reboot after the yum update process is complete will be required. Two things were missing from the original distribution that are essential to snapshots working properly: target kernel and lvm userland fixes.

This could well be my problem, I have read the documentation a couple of times and can not see anything I have missed

Anyone else had this problem ?
Once again BIG thanks for creating this project.
If you are using Openfiler in a commercial setting, you might want to consider signing up for a subscription -- this helps you keep you systems up to date at all times and helps with furthering the project to new heights.

Kind regards,

Rafiu.
