1) Make sure you've yum updated to the latest package set: yum update (as root on the openfiler box)

I just did it (and filled a ticket as the last yum update gave me winbindd issues).

2) Make sure your system time is in sync with PDC (use NTP)

They are (made it 3 times and checked the time zones).

3) Make sure admin username and password are correct for the PDC you are trying to connect to

It is, for sure (tried both with the "root" and "administrator" accounts).

4) make sure you are using configuration option *ONLY* in the "Windows Domain Configuration " section and absolutely nowhere else in the Authentication configuration page

I've done that way before : I went into expert mode and cleaned by hand all the other fields.
I've re-tried, same results.

After trying all that, I finally tried LDAP Auth.
It "works" : I get the correct groups list and users list (with the computer accounts too).

The OpenFiler server appears in Network Neighborhood (with a VERY LONG access time) but the share I created (and gave "domain users" access) is not available.
