Hi Karanbir,
thanx for your fast answer.
I've tried loading the sk98lin module by hand, it loads ok but
/proc/net/sk98lin is empty and ifconfig eth0 up says that there is not
eth0. So I suppose that my card is not supported by that module.
As I was not able to get the network running, it's a bit difficulty to
get those lspci outputs to you. I've written down the following, which
might be helpful:
lspci -v:
02:00.0 <blabla> Marvell Gigabit Ethernet Controller (88E8053) <blabla>
(rev19)
03:00.0 - same -
lspci -n:
02:00.0 Class 0200: 11ab:4362 (rev19)
03:00.0 Class 0200: 11ab:4362 (rev19)
Hope it helps. Btw. it's an AOpen mainboard with ICH6 chipset.
Regards,
Frank

The sk98lin module should work for the Marvel GB interface... can you
post an output of lspci -v and lspci -n ?
