Next issue in aoe, is that it does not show up in the physical volume list (attached a snapshot from the interface to the bug report, #357). The aoe device has two partitions on it

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# parted /dev/etherd/e1.0 print
Disk geometry for /dev/etherd/e1.0: 0.000-1144672.498 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 1144670.471 primary ext3
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# parted /dev/etherd/e1.1 print
Disk geometry for /dev/etherd/e1.1: 0.000-152627.811 megabytes
Disk label type: loop
Minor Start End Filesystem Flags
1 0.000 152627.811 ext3

No problem deleting these partitions if needed. The aoe devices appear under

        /dev/etherd/*

You can get a list of them from

        aoe-stat

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# aoe-stat
      e1.0 1200.276GB eth1 up
      e1.1 160.041GB eth1 up

so the devices are

        /dev/etherd/e1.0
        /dev/etherd/e1.1

in this case. They won't always start from 1, or 0.

Ok, quick work-around

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# conary update bc
Applying update job:
    Install bc(:doc :runtime)=1.06-6-0.1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# aoe-discover
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# aoe-stat
      e1.0 1200.276GB eth1 up
      e1.1 160.041GB eth1 up

Possibly the right thing to do in short order is to add bc into the package list. Longer term we are going to need to update aoe.

If this is easy to do, and you can give me a push in the right direction, I would be happy to give you a hand with this, including testing.

Joe
