Hi all

I'm having a problem with a new install in that I can see an icon for the
Openfiler box in windows explorer, but if I double click it I get en error
box pop up saying "\\<openfiler server name> is not accessible. You might
not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator
of the server to find out if you have access permissions. Logon Failure: The
target account name is incorrect"

I've been trawling the web for hours to try to find something, and found
this which is interesting:
# net rpc testjoin
[2007/12/28 05:13:18, 0] rpc_client/cli_pipe.c:cli_nt_session_open(1451)
cli_nt_session_open: cli_nt_create failed on pipe \NETLOGON to machine
<AD_CONTROLLER_NAME>. Error was NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
[2007/12/28 05:13:18, 0] utils/net_rpc_join.c:net_rpc_join_ok(59)
  Error connecting to NETLOGON pipe
Join to domain '<DOMAIN_NAME>' is not valid

Here are my SMB settings:
Server string: Openfiler NAS
NetBIOS name: <9 character name>
WINS server: <IP of WINS Server>
Passwords: Use encrypted passwords
Winbind Policy: Use default domain
LDAP User Suffix: ou=People
SMB homes volume: Disabled

Here is my authentication settings:
"Use Windows domain controller and authentication" is checked
Security model: Active Directory
Domain / Workgroup: <My domain name>
Domain controllers: <IP address of BDC for above domain>
ADS realm: <Realm for above domain>
Join domain: checked
Administrator username: <domain admin username>
Administrator password: <password for above>

I've tried using the IP address of the PDC with the same result

I know I'm doing something wrong which is small and stupid, and which will
make me go "DOH!", but what is it?

regards

A frustrated Frank who has just realised the sun is rising it's so late.....
