HC2001 - is the annual Healthcare Computing conference held under the
auspices of the 5 health related specialist groups of the British Computing

Group)
Medinfo2001 - is the triennial International congress in Medical Informatics
held under the auspices of the International Medical Informatics Association
(IMIA). This is to be held in London on the 2-5 September 2001. Please look
at http://www.medinfo2001.org for more information. There is at least one
full paper on OS in health that has been submitted and three workshop
proposals. I am involved with the first and two of the three workshops....
however, until the programme committee confirms acceptance/rejection (due in
Feb) all I can provide is copies of the submissions if you are interested?
There are also European conferences (such as Medical Informatics Europe
(MIE) held under the auspices of the European Federation of Medical
Informatics (EFMI)) which run annually in the two years between Medinfo's -
and various national conferences and meetings. One of which is the next
meeting of the Clinical Information Systems Specialist Interest Group
(CLICSIG) of the BCS Primary Health Care Specialist Group being held on the
12/13 January in NW England. Further details available from myself if you
