The Indian Health Service (IHS) uses the Vista as its base, and has written
their own complete patient accounting system (since their patients have all
kinds of insurance possibilites). Sorry, but I don't have a current contact
name. Also, there is a software vendor that has written a Patient
Accounting system within authorized VA namespace, following the VA
programming rules and conventions, that is also used in clinics and
hospitals who use Vista - contact Informatix Lab Corp (formerly FSI) at
801-474-1600 in Utah.

Hello Jim,
As has been pointed out, Vista still has a ways to go for some large-scale
applications, like Patient Accounting. However, if such a system could be
built, then completely Vista run hospitals can become a successful reality.
Yes, I know that VA hospitals are nearly completely built on Vista, but I
thinking private hospitals.
