I don't think you will ever see a published business plan for the profit making part of an open source business or any business for that matter....the market will determine whether the business plan is good or not by how it responds to the services and products being offered. The closest you will get with SPIRIT is D3 which I had the pleasure of authoring with the help of the rest of the folks on the project. I think I can say this objectively as I am no longer involved with the project: It is unrealistic to expect SPIRIT or any other endeavour that plans to be a profitable business to bare all. I have always had to sign non-disclosure agreements to read the business plans of potential partners and clients and I don't imagine that will change with open source....
