Dear all,
there is a preliminary cut of the openEHR EHR Reference Model at http://www.gehr.org/openEHR. This is a formal model of the EHR, much improved from GEHR, despite being at a very early stage We are also working on the Archetype Model derived from it, and this will be published soon. The third part of the specification will be an API. These three definitions (when they have become firmer through review etc) are the basis of writing an EHR server (well, doing it "our" way, of course!). I recommend the PDF for a faithful rendition, but the HTML is ok for browsing too. For those interested in serious discussion of this, there are lists at openEHR.org. These will replace the GEHR lists for this purpose. The web interface to the lists is being set up; please visit http://www.openEHR.org in the next week or so to access these lists. (Obviously discussion about the work should happen here too; all I am saying is that there is a benefit in discussion on the openEHR lists, as they will have some hundreds of subscribers from all round the world when they get going, and collaborative review is obviously in everyone's interests). So... GEHR is no longer "years" away - maybe just months.... regards, - thomas beale
