Use FreeBSD 11.4. Its implementation of ZFS is compatible to us. Any newer 
FreeBSD will more or less have newer features ported from ZoL than us and 
FreeBSD 13 switched to ZoL completely, they called it ZoF.

BTW, a pool has to be imported in order to be able to destroyed. A pool 
imported as read only can't be destroyed, too.
