Hmmmm. I wonder if you used an 81pt font and scaled it down what that would look

We are too clever for that ;-) Its not the user point size, its the
final device scaled
size that affects this decision. ie 80 *pixels*.

I'm curious on the animated box though as to what you are seeing that you like. Is it
pixel snapping but its moving fast enough that it looks OK? Or is it that the AA
algorithm is "better" for this case? If you did a screen capture would it be
high enough quality to show exactly what it is you see?
