If you need to handle EPSG:5234 on the client side (chances are you do),
then you need to put

src="mylocation/proj4js/lib/proj4js-compressed.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="mylocaiton/proj4js/lib/defs/EPSG5234.js"></script>
in your html. Leave data on server as is and let geoserver project on
the fly.
