There is no need to do anything with the cancel action now, as a negative
confirmation is not required to be send to the SWF8 client currently.
The problem was not that there was no "false" confirmation send to the SWF8
app. The application was not working anymore at all as soon as you where
clicking the little cross on the top right!
Meaning: After clicking on the cancel icon in the confirmation window, clicking
on the exit button results in doing nothing. The LocalConnection between SWF8
and SWF10 was broken by clicking on the cancel icon! No event of no method was
broadcasted anymore between SWF8 and SWF10. You could only press F5 in the
browser and reload. I wonder why you did not check that? By overseeing this we
could have run into a desaster.
