On the other hand:
If you need to grant somebody moderation right he potentially can kick you out
of the conference room (or others).
The moderator is like the room admin, if it does require moderation to change
slides in a document you will get room admin rights.
I don't think that practically teachers will like the option to make any
student moderator just to change slides.
