Brian, Not sure if this is an answer for you or not. But we just installed the VMware Server image of Ubuntu-Server-9.04 on VMware. This image is available for download on http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/InstallationOpenMeetings. We actually use the VMware ESXi version that is free, so we had to use the VMWare converter to convert the image from VMware Server to VMware ESXi. But only takes about 20 minutes. We installed the VMware image and had openmeetings running in about 2 hours. The only issue we are having, and I believe it is an issue in the current release of openmeetings, is we cannot get the email Invite to work (or any of the other email stuff).

After rebooting the machine, I got an install page, but the step 1 page was empty. I tried openmeetings, he asked for flashplayer. I got and install, and it began to load with autoconnect and the progress bar and then it sopped at 30% and says Net connection : call failed rtmpt://127.0.0.1:8088/openmeetings/hibernate<http://127.0.0.1:8088/openmeetings/hibernate> The install procedure stops after the step 1 (the page step is blank) I'm seeing the same thing as several others here with the freezing of step 1 after the install page. Everything else seems correct. Any help here possibly? At least give me some idea where to look? I could not find a troubleshooting guide on the OpenMeetings website.
