Nope, single accesses caused the "INT# death" behaviour described... it was pretty easy to reproduce here too since on yaking the cable CHGHALT was generated slightly before USBREM -- after sitting there a while yanking and reinserting the cable you could kill further notifications with the last one serviced being CHGHALT.
