add -o to the command-line for "offline" mode.

Alternatively, you could change the poms in your branch to have a
different version from X.X.X-SNAPSHOT (ie, call it
1.9.3-myfeature-SNAPSHOT) and then revert the commit before merging
back into the mainline.
