We do plan on applying to be a mentoring organization this year. We're
still working on creating an ideas list. It should be beginning to form
this week. Perhaps one of the best things you could do to be prepared would
be to join the #opennms IRC channel on irc.freenode.net and seek out some
potential and former mentors: sfb, djgregor, jeffg, pbrane, joed and mhuot.
By talking with them and the rest of the OpenNMS community you can start
getting familiar with the code and start working on your own idea which may
better interest you.
