Hi,

if you want to focus on application logic ObexFTP is a nice time saver.
Some devices require hacks and special treatment, all that is hidden
behind a friendly API.

You need to select a file and BT device, then transfer it with OBEX
PUSH, right?
A simple demo of such an application is attached. It's written in Ruby
with GTK2. It's basicly the ObexFTP Ruby example sprinkled with some of
the Ruby/GTK2 example code.

See also http://dev.zuckschwerdt.org/openobex/wiki/ObexFtpExampleRubyPush
and http://dev.zuckschwerdt.org/openobex/wiki/ObexFtpExampleClientRuby

I don't think that the core task should take more than a page of code.
The developer should focus on topics like UI design, error handling, etc.

regards,
Christian
