It was a note in the main user guide (rev2) - "This is intended to force a large system reset of all major components except for debug. Note: support for SYSRESETREQ is not included in LPC17xx devices." I never tested it before as i have only just got access to a lpc17xx, and if the user has srst connected then this does not matter anyway.
