They were supported for debugging since long (basically, since stlink
support was introduced).

Yes, the proper target config structure for the numerous LPC parts is
WiP, but for the time being you can quickly hack something based on
some existing lpc config (using lpc2000 driver), just set lpc800
variant there and appropriate working area size (less than or equal to
RAM of your chip).
