Exactly. But the decision which version to use is completely different
for the initial packaging and for the upgrading. For the initial
packaging issues like the nmap one have to be done. This requires
inspection of the vendor release engineering. The updates should not
require this, so we have to stick with a general rule here. And the best
rule is "only upgrade to a pre/beta/alpha/whatever-flaky version if the
previous version we packaged was also of this type".
We should add this to the handbook in the longterm, of course.
