OpenPKG doesn't support building the php 4 or 5 package as a shared module for apache. That said I have been using php 4 and 5 for quite some time as shared modules with the openpkg apache. I have just created a separate php5.spec file. I had also added a fix for pear because it conflicted with php4's pear. So it is customized and not supported by OpenPKG. I have attached my rpm specfile for php5 with my modifications, so use it at your own risk. You will also need to build from the source rpms. So minimally you would need to build apache and php like the following. openpkg rpm --rebuild --define "with_shared_core yes" apache-1.3.x.x.src.rpm # Install the php source RPM to your build area openpkg rpm -Uvh php5-5.x.x.src.rpm # change to your build area directory cd /your/path/RPM/SRC/php5 # Copy the attached specfile over the top of the distributed one, then build openpkg rpm -ba --define "with_apxs yes" --define "with_mysql yes" php5.spec These are only a reference and your installation may vary. If you aren't very experienced building openpkg software then it might be difficult. I created the specfile a few months ago, so I am not sure if it will work with the latest "current" revision of the openpkg php5 package. If you are using apache2 the use "with_apxs2 yes" instead.
