I am considering installing OpenSA. I would like to run a webserver on
my home machine (Windows 98) for purposes of mirroring and testing out
my website locally. I want to get perl, PHP and so forth running, so
that when I view my site locally, I can test out all my scripts.

I'm a bit leery of installing at the command line. Had bad experience
with DNews. Couldn't really get it to run. Didn't try real hard, either.
Plus, I see things on web sites that say Apache is only beta for Windows
systems, and you really should install Linux instead to run Apache. So,
I was considering a different webserver, designed for Windows.

Until I found the OpenSA site.

Your post recent release of OpenSA 1.0.0 this June is listed as beta. I
don't really need PHP4. I only need PHP3. Would the previous release of
OpenSA be more stable than the latest release? I'm not a "bleeding edge,
gotta have the latest release" kind of gal. I'm more into stability. If
I have to reboot my machine a lot, I get frustrated.

I guess I'm being ultra cautious, since OpenSA 1.0.0 beta doesn't have
an uninstall, and I'm a little cautious to mess up my system.

Thanks for any advice,
