A big font doesn't look as good with the layout.
I changed the css to use "font-size: 0.9em" insteaf of "10px"
and "1em" instead of "11px". does it look better now?
other sizes are in % so they should be fine as well.

ah. I saw your diff only now. I gave it a try, but at leat with my
browsert (konqueror) the result was a chaos: quite a big font,
but in total a smaller area used and the right project/download
list didn't find any more and was below the left text part.

thanks, merged that change. also fixed that typo.

I'm no css guru at all, the whole design was done by a friend,
I only filled it with some content yesterday. for now I will leave it
as is, as it sems to look ok on firefox and konqueror, and I will
check ie later. also soo many things left to do before linuxtag... :)

but feedback is still very welcome. maybe I can add a third
branch for wild experiments towards a better layout.

thanks for all your help and feedback so far!

Regards, Andreas
