I had a look at card-belpic.c. It uses latin1 strings so will only
work with latin1 locale encodings. I use LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 so it will
not display correctly for me.
The problem is that it is not easy to convert from one encoding to
another. gettext does this for you for i18n and l10n. iconv can also
be used but you need to know the user locale encoding (this is
automatically done by gettext using LANG).
In card-belpic.c it looks like the strings are displayed by an SCR(?)
reader: function SCR_SCardPIN(). So maybe latin1 is the correct
encoding to use for the reader.
Which reader is concerned by that feature exactly?
