PC/SC v1 does not support memory cards. PC/SC v2 should support memory cards. I have not read the new PC/SC specifications. I don't know if Vista implements PC/SC v2. AFAIK memory cards need a special communication protocol and the reader should be configured for each different kind of memory card. So this will have an impact on the PC/SC drivers. So it will take a (very) long time to add support of it in most drivers. I could not find anything related to memory cards in the CCID specification. So it would use proprietary (and undocumented) commands. The support of memory cards with PC/SC lite is very compromised. But patches are always welcome. > And last, but certainly not least, is the issue with the definitions of DWORD > etc which prevents mixing of 32- and 64 bit clients with one pcscd (or have > this meanwhile been solved? Not yet solved but it is on my roadmap. I want to release a new version of pcsc-lite (1.4.1) and then work on this problem. > And what about the byteorder stuff? Is that solved?) What it the problem here? Both clients and server in pcsc-lite are on the same machine.
