Hi Marcus,
I think you can do it with the DepthChunk.

Hi,
I have a single partially transparent (as in some parts transparent,
some parts opaque) object that needs to cover some other transparent
objects. Is it possible to enable zbuf-write only for that object?
not directly if you mean what is implemented currently in OpenSG. BUT,
you could write your own Chunk which does nothing else that
activate/deactive this OpenGL setting and add it to that material.
There should be enough code to take a peak into. You could even
contribute the result (if working of course) ;)
Ok. It seems to be working by enabling z-write globally, so I'll stick
to that for now (deadlines and stuff). But if problems crop up, I'll go
that way. It's not difficult (as you say), and I'd be happy to send the
code back to you, if it works. :)
Thanks for the quick reply!
