Hi,
A brief of the patch purposes follows.
The modifications were quite simple, but if someone have some problem
concerning Viewport activation/deactivation I can take a look at it.
The FBOViewport was not tested yet, mainly because I didnt have any example.
So, If someone could give me some feedback or just send me a simple example
to test it, It would be fine.
That's it, =)
Olavo.

Hi Dirk,
Well, I have done the modifications that we have talked over the last
weeks. These modifications are on the patch in annex.
This is a summary of the patch purposes:
- The SortFirstW and BalancedMW now support StereoBufferVP.
- The Viewport has the following new virtual methods: activateSize(),
activate() and deactivate();
- All viewports implementation were updated for using the new methods
- In general, every viewport does activate itself in its render() method.
I have updated the FBOViewport implementation to the modifications, but
I dont have any tutotial or example code to test it. If someone could
help me on that, I could make some tests. =)
All other viewports were verified with the tutorials and they seem to
work right.
Great, thanks a lot! I just committed it, and it will make it into 1.8.
Although the SortFirstW is deprecated, I have noted that its subtile
size is 32 pixels. I dont know what was the motivation for such a tiny
value. BTW, setting it to 256 really improves its performance. This
modification is not included in the patch because I didnt have time the
study all the implications of changing this value. Its just a suggestion.
Given that it is deprecated I'm not too worried about it right now. Other
things
are a little more urgent. ;)
Thanks a lot for your help!
You might want to send an email to the list to tell people what your patch
does,
there might be some of them interested in it
Yours
Dirk
