assuming 1.8, than IIRC the SkyBackground may have a problem. 

IIRC there were some fixes for 2.x to get mirrors working correctly with
a SkyBackground. 

I'll see if I can dig up the changes, but I'm rather busy right now (end
of semester over here) so it might take a second. If somebody else want
to have a look feel free ;-)

If you happen to have 2.x lying around could you give it a try.
