Raja and Tiago, do you see an "Apps" heading on the left of the sandbox? The recent Orkut push reorganized the navigation to bit and the "manage my stuff" link was replaced by a dedicated "Apps" section. Applications are now added by clicking the "edit" link to the right of the Apps heading.
If you don't see the Apps section at all, try adding applications by navigating to http://sandbox.orkut.com/MyApps.aspx directly.
