It's working. The problem was it used to not have the default thumbnail url for member who has not provided with a profile photo, so i checked for undefined property and i provide a default image url. Now Orkut gives you a default broken thumbnail url, so i kept seeing the broken image links inspite of modifying my code.
http://img3.orkut.com/images/img/i_nophoto128.gif is a broken url.
