Hi Swapnil. While we certainly hope to push OpenSocial 0.8 support to production before then, there can never be any guarantees. The updated JavaScript API in orkut does not (currently) offer any new features, so I recommend using v0.7 for now. Once it's complete, you can test your application in http://prod.sandbox.orkut.com to make sure it works in the production environment. Let me know if you have any other questions on this.
