The project started with the goal to introduce ksh93 without adding
any incompatibilities to existing ksh93 versions and you are proposing
such a change against the counsel of both the project team and David
Korn.

I think this these are clear words from someone who did lots of work
and investigation on ksh93 in Solaris and I am supporting this
decision. If you or Sun want to introduce an incompatible version of
ksh93 to Solaris then you have to do it alone and I think noone from
the Opensolaris community will help you with that work
