What exactly is the problem with the idea to ship a merged libcmd with Solaris Nevada ? The design is compatible to BOTH existing versions of libcmd and in the not so distant future - maybe even before the Nevada gates closes - all consumers of the |def*()| functions have been switched over to the new API and then libcmd would be for AST (which includes ksh93) and the Solaris commands only again. ---- Bye, Roland -- __ . . __ (o.\ \/ /.o) roland.mainz at nrubsig.org \__\/\/__/ MPEG specialist, C&&JAVA&&Sun&&Unix programmer /O /==\ O\ TEL +49 641 7950090 (;O/ \/ \O;)
