There's nothing to nuke in Xorg - Xorg only has /dev/mouse & /dev/kdmouse
in the list of devices to try for autoconfiguration, /dev/msm would only
be used if someone manually created an xorg.conf file specifying it and
specifying the right streams module to push onto it to produce the VUID
events & ioctls that Xorg uses to interact with Solaris kernel mouse drivers.
