Highly volatile, frequently changed (mostly bugfixed) openldap client library vs. mature and stable Mozilla LDAP (I mean libldap.so.6)? And because Mozilla apps depend on libldap, you will have the same problem with Thunderbird (reported several times on other platforms) after the switch. Moving libsldap out of application's space just to nscd by default would have much bigger benefit. Any way, it's out of scope of this case. Best regards, Milan
