Some of you may be noticing new bounce messages when posting to the lsarc-ext or psarc-ext mailing lists.
Previously, the opensolaris.org mailing lists had been set up to allow many addresses through without needing to be subscribed to the destination list. This changed recently to require all posters to be subscribed. The result is a lot of bounced messages. Since both lsarc-ext and psarc-ext are lists that redirect into one or more opensolaris.org mailing lists, your messages will bounce if you're not properly subscribed to all of the recipient lists. Besides opensolaris-arc (where all messages go by default), you can determine other recipients by viewing the "IAM" file for the case in question and looking at the "Interest" list. I don't know if this will change again in the future. No, I'm not trying maintain this part of the ARC/opensolaris infrastructure, so replying to me won't be useful. I'm just noting the issue in a broadcast message because I've been asked many times over about it. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <james.d.carlson at sun.com> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677
