Any chance you'd be willing to maintain a patch to make these guys re-exec themselves under pfexec if they don't have sys_devices, rather than cluttering up /usr/bin with these scripts? Wasn't there a project afoot to essentially make pfexec an always-on, in-kernel operation? That's really the right answer, though obviously not this case, nor something you can depend on.
