I think it's a good idea, provided that the focus of the community is
ratcheting up the automated detection of problems (e.g., that will be
caught by the nightly build).  I'd much rather raise the bar that must
be met by projects prior to their integration than spend time sweeping
up after their parades.

I agree that 'janitor' fails to capture the point here, but I'm not sure that
the only thing in scope is automated detection tools.  To me that seems too
narrow.  To me the scope should be wide enough to encompass classic bits of
kernel cleanup like the "vmem" rewrite as well as discussions of what we
might ultimately want to retire from the system.

Do you have a better idea for a name?  I've been ruminating on this over
the weekend, but haven't come up with anything worth sharing.

Sanitation engineer?
Custodian?
Caretaker?
Gardener?

(ok, only the last three are partially serious, but...)
