He _IS_ doing that. Or rather, I'm trying to get it through those damned internal geartrain (the process with a lot of sand in the gearbox). On the other hand, by simply telling "why don't you", without actually making the process post-coding open, is not a really productive thing. Personally, I can code about five times faster than I can get my stuff reviewed/inspected/whatever. It's really helpful if someone tells me "why don't you code". I guess I've just given you the answer. Coding is an awful experience if there's little chance of having your stuff get in.
