Try disabling APIC. 'set acpi-options=0x2' in /etc/system. See elsewhere for
details on how to do this, as I'm not sure that my memory is correct.

Which Solaris revision?
For Solaris9, see http://tools.de/solaris/ and Solaris10 should support ATI out
of the box. In Solaris10, if the Sun X server doesn't, you can try switching
to X.org X server, which is also included out of the box.

Perhaps the audio drivers from http://tools.de/solaris/audio/ will work for you.

Yes, Solaris supports dial up connection, but good luck! Solaris uses the now
ancient UUCP for such things, and it is a nightmare to get PPP to work on
Solaris. You might as well forget it. Solaris wasn't really meant to be used
on dialup, and it shows.
