That's wrong. You have acess to the .src.rpm for customisations, and
if you want to customise the install location all you have to do is
rebuild the openpkg src.rpm with the install root you want. Packages
should installer that new root.

This is by design so that once you uninstall all OpenPKGs and OpenPKG
itself your system is "clean" again.
