I agree that CDE still has a pretty high level of integration and
stability when compared to JDS/Gnome. However, after having used and
compiled KDE on several platforms (Solaris, Tru64 Unix, and Slackware),
I don't like the clutter. KDE is bloated and not simple enough for
business use. I do think that there is a lot of room for JDS to improve
in regards to usability and integration. JDS has come a long way since
the early betas.
